In fact, it’s identical except for the fact that you can now respin each reel as many times as you like for an individually calculated price. While doing it right increases the RTP a tad, doing it “wrong” has the opposite effect on your theoretical returns. You can land scatter prizes up to 2,000x in all stages of the game, and the bonus round comes with an x3 multiplier at best. If you liked the original game, this HyperSpins version essentially gives you more freedom of choice.

The fruit machine inspired symbols pay between 1 and 37.5 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Wild symbol pays 125x your stake for the same. Of course, the wild symbol also steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete winning combinations.

Gameburger has basically done the same to Hyper Strike as they did with 9 Mask of Fire HyperSpins, and fans of the original release now have one more feature to play with. The HyperSpins feature can certainly be helpful when it comes to squeezing more juice from the scatter jackpots, but it’s not always easy to know when and how to use it in the most cost-effective way.

When 2 free spin symbols land it’s usually a good idea to look for the 3rd via the HyperSpins feature though, and this worked out quite well for us during testing. Bolting on the HyperSpins feature is a somewhat cheap way to release a “brand new game”, potentially doubling your back catalog in the process. We don’t see any reason not to prefer the HyperSpins version, as it gives you more wiggle room and control over your own destiny.
