Apparently, ‘Ternion’ is an outdated word that refers to a group of 3, at least according to our Google search. It fits the bill in this release, as you get to meet a trio of superheroes consisting of a Fire Man, an Ice Lady, and a Blade Lady. The 5x4 grid is semi-transparent, so you get a good view of the somewhat dystopian looking city in the backdrop. You can also glimpse what looks like the superhero headquarters, as the skyscraper comes with their distinct ‘V’ logo.

Superheroes are nothing without their superpowers, and all 3 of them come with a special modifier that can benefit you at random times in the base game. The bonus round is all about collecting crystals to fill a meter, as this triggers increasingly more lucrative combinations of the superhero modifiers. The 11,111x potential is solid, as well as a lucky number for some, but Ternion cannot escape coming across as a tad too generic and charmless.

You need 3 to 5 matching symbols on a payline from the uttermost left to the right to win, and the premium symbols pay between 5 and 50 x your stake. Review Summary

Play’n Go always delivers above average slot entertainment, but some of their releases just glides through without leaving a lasting impression one way or the other. Ternion is such a game, at least in our view. There is nothing overlay negative to point your finger at, but the superheroes are a bit too generic and charmless for a game like this. They are the main characters after all, and it can be hard to create such heroes from scratch with no brand recognition.

They keep you somewhat entertained in the base game via the 3 modifiers, however, and the Call For Heroes feature certainly helped us out as you can see in the video above. The wild reel modifier seems like your best bet for larger payouts, not least if the 4 leftmost reels turn wild. Get that combined with low-value symbol removal, and larger payouts are bound to come your way. The 11,111x potential is as palindromic as it is solid, but how can you have a proper superhero game without an evil super villain?
