Cygnus (greek for swan) is a northern constellation between Lyra and Pegasus in the Milky Way, and it resembles a swan as you can clearly see outlined in the backdrop of Cygnus 2. The Egypt setting has been replaced by an observatory of some kind, with the starry night sky clearly visible above the grid. The features are pretty similar to the original Cygnus, so the biggest changes are found in the math model.

The leap from a 5,000x to a 50,000x max win is hard to characterize as anything but astronomical, but you pay the price in the form of a far lower 94 % RTP. The symbols pay between 0.2 and 15 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and Wild symbols substitute for pay symbols to help complete wins. The Avalanche mechanic removes all winning symbols, while also dropping a new batch of symbols from above. The Bonus Round triggers when a single bonus symbol touches the leftmost grid frame. This awards 7 free drops, and any active base game multiplier is carried over into the feature. You get +3 extra drops per bonus symbol that makes it to the leftmost grid frame during the bonus round, and the feature plays out similarly to the base game. The big difference is that the multiplier never resets during the feature. Bonus symbols are transported to the left if they hit the bottom, just like multiplier symbols.

This is a 10x increase, but the 94 % RTP will probably be a deal-breaker for some players.

It’s all about building the win multiplier in this follow-up as well, while crossing your fingers for a bonus symbol that is able to make it all the way to the leftmost side. The X-iter menu was not present in the original release, so eligible players get plenty of exciting options to choose from. We only wish the Super Bonus was possible to trigger organically also, but overall this is a very solid follow-up that will please most Cygnus fans.
