The hard-hitting, ultra-masculine exterior is all but ruined by the wimpy 600x potential, not least when you factor in that this is a highly volatile game. In this day and age, when most players want high risk/reward heavy hitters, why not simply give people what they want?

Audiovisually, Hammer of Gods is excellent, although you might feel some phantom pains in your arm from watching the two roughneck brothers holding their hammers high for so long. The Hammer features tops you up here and there in the base game, and it’s fun when you get up to 3 of them per free spin. Sparks can certainly fly if the features combine, but it’s hard to shake the fact that 600x is the most you can hope for.
