While the previous title was fruit machine inspired, this follow-up game is a full blown classic fruit slot, albeit with the Megaways juice flowing through its veins.

You can gamble any win here, and all wins are then moved into the Supermeter mode. This makes it easier to trigger Mystery Win prizes, not least if you play with the SuperStake switched on. However, the whole Megaways licence feels a bit wasted and pointless due to the weak potential. You will benefit from the Cascading Symbols feature here, as in so many other Megaways games. This means that winning symbols are removed from the grid, and new symbols drop down from above to fill the gap. The process goes on as long as you keep landing new winning combinations. Combined with the Megaways mechanic, this adds a bit of unpredictability to each spin.

You can choose to switch on the Super Stake feature if you wish, and this will increase your chances for landing scatters both in the base game and in Supermeter Mode. Of course, it will cost you twice as much per spin also, so you need to consider up front if you think it’s worthwhile.

Landing 3 scatter symbols trigger the Mystery Win feature. This will land you a random instant cash prize up to 240x your stake. Landing 4 scatters means that you win the biggest cash prize of 240x immediately. During the Supermeter Mode, only 2 scatters are needed to win up to 240x. Landing 3 scatters increases the minimum prize, while 4 scatters awards the 240x prize.

All regular wins are transferred to the Supermeter, which means you’ll be playing in “Super Joker Mode”. You need to win at least 2x your stake to play in this mode however, as this is the price per spin. You can exit the Supermeter mode at any time by clicking the Collect button. You cannot gamble Supermeter wins, but all gamble wins from the base game are added to the Supermeter by default.

Combining the classic fruit machine setup with the Megaways engine seems like a contradiction in many ways, although it has been done a few times before. Super Joker Megaways stays very true to the classic format however, with 3 reels and no free spins round. It’s really just a regular classic fruit slot injected with a healthy dose of steroids, featuring Cascading Wins as a cherry on top.

The name of the game is to enter the Supermeter mode gameplay, where stakes are raised and bigger wins can be landed more easily from the Scatter Mystery Win feature. The number of “megaways” goes up to only 512 paylines here, which might be a lot compared to most 3-reelers, but it still feels a bit impotent for a Megaways title. The 2,592x potential is also unimpressive compared to what this engine is usually capable of.
